Shai Fruchter Addresses Ava Dash Relationship Status, Calls Out Kyle Cooke
The 'Next Gen NYC' star confirmed he is no longer seeing Dash and alluded to Cooke's involvement.
Shai Fruchter, star of "Next Gen NYC," has confirmed his separation from Ava Dash and publicly addressed Kyle Cooke's role in their past relationship.
During the 2026 "Virtual Reali-Tea" Awards, Fruchter was asked by hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real about his current relationship status with Dash. When questioned about having "date nights with Ava," Fruchter responded with a definitive "Nope." When pressed further about wanting to have dates with Dash, he stated, "Not right now." He then quipped, "Ask Kyle," referring to Dash's public kiss with "Summer House" star Kyle Cooke.
Fruchter and Dash's relationship, which began on Season 2 of "Next Gen NYC," saw a brief period of intimacy. The pair revealed during the show's reunion that they had "hooked up" during an unfilmed cast trip to the Bahamas. However, Dash also acknowledged sharing a kiss with Cooke over the summer in the Hamptons, describing it as a "cheeky little music festival kiss."
At the reunion, both Fruchter and Dash discussed their short-lived romance, citing "a lot of miscommunication" as the reason for their split. At the time, Dash had expressed openness to rekindling the relationship, suggesting she would accept a date invitation from Fruchter if he extended one.
However, Fruchter's comments at the VRT Awards suggest a different sentiment. He indicated that he is currently "seeing someone" else, though he did not disclose the individual's identity. His co-star Ariana Biermann also chimed in, noting that Fruchter has "plenty of options."
Fruchter attended the VRT Awards alongside co-stars Biermann, Liam Obergfoll, and Rowan Henchy. Biermann also confirmed that she and Obergfoll are "not dating," despite appearing close during the event.
The first two seasons of "Next Gen NYC" are available for streaming on Peacock.
