Seven individuals have been charged with criminal damage following a protest at former President Donald Trump's Turnberry resort in Scotland. The group is accused of digging up turf, spraying weedkiller on the course, damaging a sprinkler system, and defacing a building.
Prosecutors allege that slogans including "Free Gaza," "Free Palestine," and "Gaza is not for sale" were spray-painted on the course and structures. Offensive messages directed at Trump were also reportedly daubed on the property. The accused individuals face charges of criminal damage.
The seven, identified as Kieran Robson, 35, Uzma Bashir, 56, Ricky Southall, 34, Autumn Taylor Ward, 22, Rebecca Sian Davies, 29, John Moxley, 58, and Dylan Chiaramello, 24, were scheduled to appear at the High Court in Glasgow. However, the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service announced that the hearing has been adjourned, with a new court date set for October.
If convicted, the individuals could face extended sentences due to the nature of the alleged offenses. The incident involved significant damage to the resort's grounds and facilities.
