Settlers Attack Palestinians and Destroy Olive Trees in West Bank
Violence erupts during the olive harvest season, with reports of attacks on farmers and destruction of trees.

Israeli settlers attacked Palestinians and set fire to olive trees in the occupied West Bank during the annual olive harvest, according to reports.
In one incident near an illegal outpost, approximately a dozen settlers reportedly charged down a hill and attacked Palestinians and activists who were harvesting olives. The settlers allegedly set fire to about a dozen trees and hurled stones from slingshots.
Heidi Levine, a photographer with the Washington Post who was present at the scene, was taken to a hospital. She told reporters that she was "jumped" and described being kicked while on the ground.
United Nations data indicates that the past two weeks have seen more attacks by Israeli settlers than occurred during the entire harvest season last year. The UN reports that settler violence has reached an all-time high this year.
