Senate GOP Campaign Chief: Trump Team Assures Funds for Midterms

The Senate Republican campaign chairman stated that President Donald Trump's team has assured senators that "money will not be our problem" as they head into the midterm elections. The MAGA Inc. political action committee plans to invest millions more into battleground races to help maintain GOP control of the Senate.

Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, the chairman, linked the party more closely to the president as Trump engages in campaigning to boost voter enthusiasm. Despite the prevalence of competitive Senate races across the country, Scott expressed confidence in Republicans' ability to retain or even expand their Senate majority.

"Cash is king," Scott told reporters. "President Trump and his agenda are on the ballot. Knowing that they are going to invest completely in these races is incredibly helpful."

Republicans have seen their control of Congress at risk ahead of the November elections, a situation influenced by factors such as high gas and grocery prices. While the House, with its slim majority, has always been considered competitive, the Senate map has become more challenging, with once-safe Republican seats now facing contests.

Scott acknowledged that the race in Kansas, where newcomer Adam Hamilton is challenging Republican Sen. Roger Marshall, is closer than anticipated. He also noted that Republicans have "more work to do" in Georgia, where Republican Mike Collins is seeking to unseat Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff.

However, Scott reported that during a private meeting on Monday evening with White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, he received assurances that the necessary resources would be available for the final stretch of the election campaigns. "She said money would not be our problem," he stated.

MAGA Inc. and associated groups have already contributed hundreds of millions of dollars to the Senate races, providing Republicans with a financial advantage over Democrats.
