Selma Blair to Continue Fan Convention Appearances Post-Arrest

Selma Blair intends to proceed with her scheduled appearance at '90s Con in Hartford, Connecticut, just days after an alleged in-flight altercation led to her arrest.

Blair, 54, has been accused of attacking members of the flight crew aboard a Delta aircraft on Sunday. The incident prompted distressed pilots to request medical assistance upon landing. On Monday, Blair entered a plea of not guilty to two counts of second-degree assault.

Her legal team stated that she had missed several doses of medication intended to manage severe neurological symptoms associated with her multiple sclerosis. Her attorneys also indicated that Blair had been traveling after extensive work hours and experienced a fall, hitting her head during the flight, which contributed to confusion and disorientation.

A representative for '90s Con confirmed that Blair's appearance remains unchanged. "Nothing has changed with her appearance. She is still attending and keeping her commitment to her fans as planned," the representative stated.

Blair is scheduled to attend the convention for all three days, offering autographs and selfies. She is part of a lineup that includes other '90s and early 2000s personalities such as Nick Carter and Joey Fatone of NSYNC, and John Stamos.

Following her release on bail, Blair was arraigned on felony charges. Her bail was set at $20,000 cash or a $60,000 bond. The judge reportedly cautioned that Blair should not expect special treatment due to her celebrity status.

According to legal documents, Blair allegedly struck a flight attendant and bit another, causing injuries that required one flight attendant to receive medical treatment. She is also accused of kicking a Port Authority police officer and a registered nurse while being transported in an ambulance from JFK Airport.

Both the nurse and the police officer reported pain following the alleged assaults, with the officer sustaining a swollen jaw. The FBI has confirmed it is investigating the incident.

Sources suggest Blair could face federal charges related to assaults committed within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States, which could result in up to a year in custody. The felony assault charges in connection with the alleged attacks on the officer and nurse carry a potential sentence of two to seven years if convicted.

Blair is scheduled for a court hearing on January 19. She has previously been known for her roles in films such as "Cruel Intentions" and "Legally Blonde." She publicly disclosed her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2018.
