Selma Blair's Past Biting Incidents Detailed in Memoir

Selma Blair detailed a history of biting celebrities in her 2022 memoir, "Mean Baby: A Memoir of Growing Up," which has resurfaced following her alleged assault of a flight attendant. Blair wrote that her "system gets overwhelmed and instantaneously short-circuits" in social interactions, leading to the unusual behavior.

In the memoir, Blair recounts biting Sienna Miller in 2006 at the Chateau Marmont. She described the bite as playful but expressed dismay at her own actions, noting that Miller did not react negatively.

Blair also detailed biting "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane in 2004 after being introduced to him at a Las Vegas gathering. She explained that she bit his hand after feeling starstruck and inadequate in the social situation.

Another incident involved supermodel Kate Moss. Blair wrote about biting Moss's finger in a London hotel suite after a Marc Jacobs fashion show. This time, Moss reacted with pain and retaliated by punching Blair and crunching her thumb, an event Blair cited as her first realization of potentially hurting others.

These past incidents contrast with Blair's recent arrest on October 11, where she allegedly bit one flight attendant and punched another on a Delta Airlines flight. The incident occurred as she reportedly attempted to open the plane door mid-flight. According to dispatch audio, Blair also allegedly kicked a Port Authority police officer and assaulted a nurse after arriving at the hospital.

Blair's representative stated that she experienced a "medical emergency" leading to the alleged conduct and is in stable condition. Delta Airlines issued a statement emphasizing their zero-tolerance policy for unruly behavior. The FBI is currently investigating the incident.
