Selma Blair's Boyfriend Pleads for Prayers After Actress's Mid-Flight Incident

Andy Kiernan, the on-again, off-again boyfriend of actress Selma Blair, has publicly asked for prayers for the star following her recent disruptive outburst on a Delta flight.

"Pray for Selma," Kiernan posted on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, as reported by the Daily Mail. "She has a good heart. She hasn’t yet got the help she needs." He added, "Pray that she does. She’s a human being like the rest of us."

Kiernan, who began dating Blair in 2024, also requested prayers for her 15-year-old son, Arthur, whom she shares with ex Jason Bleick. Page Six reported that they reached out to Kiernan for comment but had not received an immediate response.

Blair, 54, was on a Delta flight from Los Angeles to New York City on Sunday when the incident occurred. According to pilot communications obtained by TMZ, the actress became physically disruptive and required restraint by the flight crew. The pilot requested medical assistance and law enforcement be present upon landing due to the passenger's "abusive" behavior.

The 911 audio revealed that the situation involved "a bloody nose as well as some bite marks" on flight attendants. The pilot specifically requested personnel at JFK to attend to the crew members involved.

Blair's representative issued a statement indicating she "experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct" and is currently in stable condition. Following the flight, Blair was arrested and subsequently entered a not guilty plea on Monday to two counts of second-degree assault.

Her attorney, Shawn Barnes, suggested that the incident stemmed from Blair allegedly missing her multiple sclerosis medication. Barnes stated that his client had been working extensive hours on set prior to the flight, which may have contributed to her condition. If convicted, the "Hellboy" actress faces a potential prison sentence of two to seven years.
