Selma Blair Released on Bail After Felony Charges for Alleged Mid-Air Incident

Selma Blair was released on bail Monday after being arraigned on two felony charges stemming from an alleged mid-air altercation on a Delta flight Sunday. Blair's attorneys stated that the actress had missed multiple doses of her medication and sustained a head injury during the flight, leading to severe confusion and disorientation.

According to reports, Blair appeared in a New York City courthouse, where Judge Indira Khan set her bail at $20,000 cash or a $60,000 bond. The charges include second-degree assault for allegedly attacking a flight attendant and a Port Authority police officer.

Blair's legal team, including lawyer Shawn Barnes, argued that the incident was not intentional. Barnes told the court that Blair had taken medication to control severe neurological symptoms, but had missed several doses prior to the flight. He added that Blair had been working long hours on set leading up to her travel and also fell and hit her head during the flight, contributing to her disoriented state.

Another attorney, Joshua Reitzas, described Blair as someone to look up to, citing her body of work and contributions. The actress was seen being escorted out of the courthouse by police and her legal team, surrounded by reporters, after her bail was posted.

Her attorneys told the New York Post on Monday that Blair had allegedly hit her head before the confrontation. The 54-year-old actress was pictured leaving court on Monday after she was arraigned on two felony charges in the wake of an alleged mid-air fight with airline employees and passengers

The incident aboard the Delta aircraft reportedly left pilots requesting medical assistance upon landing. The Daily Mail has reached out to Blair's representatives for comment.
