Selma Blair Faces Federal Charges After Alleged Mid-Flight Assaults

Actress Selma Blair is facing federal charges following an alleged mid-flight disturbance on a Delta Airlines flight to John F. Kennedy International Airport. The incident occurred Sunday night on Flight 938 from Los Angeles.

Disturbing audio captured Blair screaming "No! No!" and "Please stop! No, no! Please don’t! Let me go!" as she was dragged off the plane by authorities. According to Port Authority police, Blair allegedly slugged one flight attendant and bit a second. She also reportedly attempted to open a cabin door while the plane was in midair.

On the ground at JFK, police said Blair had to be restrained and continued to scream. She allegedly kicked a police officer in the head and attacked a nurse while en route to Jamaica Hospital.

A representative for Blair, who has publicly shared her experiences managing multiple sclerosis, stated that the actress suffered a "medical episode."

In addition to the federal charges related to the attacks on the flight crew, Blair also faces state charges for the alleged assaults on the police officer and the nurse. This is not the first time the actress has faced scrutiny for her conduct; she has previously admitted to biting celebrities and experiencing a similar midair incident in 2016.
