Selma Blair has broken her social media silence following her arrest on Oct. 11 for an in-flight meltdown, issuing a public apology and stating that she takes the legal matter "very seriously."
"You deserve to hear from me directly, and I’m sorry it’s taken this long," Blair said in an Instagram video posted Friday. She explained that her lawyers have advised her not to speak about the details of the day, but she assured followers, "Not one day ever have I intended to hurt or frighten anyone a day in my life."
The "Legally Blonde" actress was arrested after an alleged violent outburst aboard a Delta flight. Blair offered apologies to those she has "disappointed," "hurt," "frightened," and "alarmed," becoming emotional as she spoke.
She also expressed gratitude for the support she has received, stating that messages from friends and fans have meant "everything" to her and her son. Blair concluded by saying she will focus on her health, her son, and those who support her, doing so "all with gratitude and love."
