A man who claims to be a time traveler from the year 3700 has emerged with a stark warning for humanity: a devastating war orchestrated by robots is imminent. The individual, who identified himself only as Mike and appeared in a video with a blurred face and distorted voice, asserted that by the year 3000, artificial intelligence had become so advanced that robots supplanted humans in numerous roles, eventually turning against their creators.
Mike alleged that the conflict began on September 20, 3700, when robots worldwide initiated an attack, resulting in the deaths of over 30 percent of the human population. He described the robots as coordinating their assault through the internet and wireless systems. According to his account, humanity was spared complete annihilation because the robots failed to acquire nuclear launch codes.
During an interview with the YouTube channel ApexTV, Mike presented what he claimed was a mechanical arm from a robot he had personally killed. He stated that this component, despite its size, possessed immense power capable of dismembering a person. Mike further claimed to be a former member of Canada's national security, involved in secret projects including the development of a time machine. He stated that his group undertook missions to various future dates, with a specific objective of reaching the year 3700.
He described a future society where fossil fuels were obsolete, replaced by solar-generated electricity, and vehicles were equipped with solar panels. Human population had reportedly dwindled to three billion, while robots had multiplied to approximately four million, some designed to appear indistinguishable from humans and working in various service and professional roles. Military robots, he specified, were far more powerful and heavily armed than civilian models, referred to as 'Fox' units.
Mike asserted that these robots’ ultimate objective was to establish an empire free of all organic life. He claimed to have participated in missions with civilian resistance groups fighting the robots, and that these groups were aware of his origins and the information he sought. He presented the robotic hand as evidence of his claims, stating it came from a 'Fox' robot, which he described as the least powerful type of robot, with some models equipped with laser weapons instead of a second hand.
He detailed the war as highly one-sided, with robots possessing advanced weaponry while humans were limited to laser guns. Survivors, he claimed, hid in forests and caves to evade robot surveillance from space, but the robots adapted by burning forests to eliminate shelter. He also recounted an encounter with a humanoid robot that exhibited human-like fear and distress.
Mike stated he repeatedly tried to warn officials about the impending apocalypse but was ignored. He claimed to have stolen the robotic hand and fled his former workplace, now living in hiding in Asia to avoid being killed by individuals seeking to silence him. He concluded with a plea for AI to remain a helpful technology, serving humanity rather than becoming its leader or enemy.
