Actress Selena Gomez was observed filming in London for the upcoming sixth season of "Only Murders In The Building" while carrying a hot water bottle and wearing slippers. This occurred as the Met Office issued an extreme heat warning for parts of England, anticipating temperatures to rise significantly.

The amber warning, in effect from 9 a.m. to midnight on Thursday, indicates potential adverse health effects for the general population. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has also activated amber heat health alerts across much of England, warning of a possible increase in deaths.

Authorities are advising the public to stay hydrated, check on vulnerable individuals, and avoid direct sun exposure during peak heat hours. Forecasts predict highs of 26C (79F) in London, 28C (82F) in Manchester, and 29C (84F) in Cardiff, with temperatures potentially reaching 34C (93F) on Wednesday and 38C (100F) on Thursday in some areas. The possibility of "tropical nights," where temperatures remain above 20C (68F) overnight, also exists.

If temperatures reach 38C (100F), it would mark one of the hottest days on record for Britain, nearing the all-time high of 40.3C (104.5F) recorded in July 2022. The UK has already experienced its hottest summer on record, with an average temperature of 16.48C (62F).

Gomez, 34, has been in Britain for several weeks filming the show, which premiered in 2021 and follows three neighbors who investigate murders. The series has received critical acclaim and award nominations, including an Emmy nod for Outstanding Comedy Series.

In other career news, Gomez is reportedly attached to director Brady Corbet's upcoming X-rated feature film. Last week, she celebrated her 34th birthday in Italy.
