Selena Gomez Celebrates Rare Impact Fund Benefit Amidst Personal Milestones
The singer and entrepreneur hosted her annual benefit in Los Angeles, also marking her first wedding anniversary with Benny Blanco and discussing future family plans.
Selena Gomez hosted her annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, appearing in a striking red jeweled gown. The event, held at the Hollywood Palladium, supports mental health advocacy and services through her Rare Beauty brand.
Gomez, who launched Rare Beauty in 2020 and the Rare Impact Fund shortly after, has committed to raising $100 million over a decade for mental health initiatives. The fund has reportedly raised $30 million to date. Gomez has been open about her own mental health journey, including her bipolar disorder diagnosis in 2018, using her platform to reduce stigma.
The singer, 34, wore a strapless, corset-style gown that accentuated her waist, paired with diamond earrings and the $225,000 engagement ring from her husband, Benny Blanco. Gomez and Blanco, 38, married in a Santa Barbara ceremony last year and recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary on September 27th.

Gomez also recently spoke about future family plans. While she has previously shared that medical issues prevent her from carrying her own children, she expressed a strong desire to become a mother through surrogacy or adoption. She stated her excitement for this future journey, emphasizing that the child would be hers regardless of the path taken.
