The U.S. Secret Service is aware of and investigating a video broadcast by Iranian state media that appears to threaten Barron Trump, the youngest son of President Donald Trump. Secret Service spokesman Nate Herring confirmed the agency's awareness and commitment to investigating potential threats against those under its protection.
“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees,” Herring stated. He declined to provide further details, citing operational security. “Out of concern for operational security, we do not discuss matters of protective intelligence.”
This development follows a period of heightened tensions and rhetoric directed at the Trump family by Iranian media. These threats have occurred periodically since the U.S. initiated military action against Iran, a conflict that began shortly after the U.S. assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to reports.
