Cleveland Police have arrested a second man on suspicion of murdering Donna Keogh, who disappeared in 1998. Keogh, then 17, was last seen in Middlesbrough on April 28, 1998. Police strongly suspect she was murdered shortly after her disappearance, although her body has never been found.
The 62-year-old man was arrested in the Manchester area and is being interviewed by police. Earlier this year, a 64-year-old man from the Leeds area was also arrested on suspicion of murder. He has since been released on bail pending the ongoing investigation.
Detectives have been conducting inquiries in the Leeds area in recent months as part of the investigation into Keogh's disappearance and suspected murder. Deputy senior investigating officer, Detective Inspector Evan Kirtley, stated that Keogh's family has endured "unbearable uncertainty" for nearly three decades and appealed for anyone with information to come forward to provide them with comfort and peace.
