Sebastian Stan Reflects on Nostalgic Reunion with Chris Evans for "Avengers: Doomsday"
Stan describes filming the upcoming Marvel film as a "family" reunion, drawing parallels to his childhood with co-star Chris Evans.

Sebastian Stan shared his experience reuniting with Chris Evans for the upcoming film "Avengers: Doomsday," describing the event as "very nostalgic." The two actors first shared the screen 15 years ago in "Captain America: The First Avenger," playing Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers, respectively.
"I got a chance to reunite with everyone," Stan told Decider while promoting his new film "Fjord." "It was very nostalgic to look back, and think about all of these years that we’ve known each other, and grew up together. It’s incredible in that way. It’s been a family and it never stops being that way."
Stan did not offer details on his character's screen time or the plot of "Avengers: Doomsday," which is set to release in December. He admitted he has not seen the finished film and anticipates it will be "heartbreaking." Rumors suggest the movie may feature significant character deaths.
In addition to his Marvel work, Stan stars in the new film "Fjord," directed by Cristian Mungiu. The movie, inspired by a true story, centers on a Romanian family whose children were taken by child protection services in Norway after their parents admitted to spanking them. Stan plays Mihai Gheorghiu, a religious Romanian man who relocates his family to Norway with his wife, Lisbet, played by Renate Reinsve. "Fjord" opens in select theaters on October 9, 2026.
