Seattle Fire Department crews extinguished a 3-alarm fire in the city's Industrial District early Wednesday, July 15, 2026, after it extended from two burning tractor trailers to a warehouse.

The blaze began shortly before 1 a.m. on 7th Avenue S. Seattle Fire spokesman David Cuerpo stated that the fire reportedly spread from the trailers to the warehouse structure. Firefighters observed multiple large metal and plastic barrels near the trailers and the building. Following an inspection, Cuerpo confirmed these barrels were empty.

At approximately 1:15 a.m., the roof of the warehouse partially collapsed, preventing firefighters from entering the building. Crews battled the fire from a safe distance and successfully extinguished it around 3:22 a.m.

No injuries were reported in connection with the incident. Cuerpo stated that the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental. An investigation into the fire is ongoing.

This incident occurred less than 24 hours after another fire in a commercial building in the city's Central District. That fire, located on E Madison St., was reported around 3:22 a.m. Tuesday and was extinguished by crews by approximately 5:30 a.m. No injuries were reported in that incident either.
