Los Angeles authorities have issued an urgent plea for assistance in locating nine-year-old twins, Solomon and Marozhina Sukonick, who are believed to have been abducted by their father. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported the twins missing since July 23.
According to the department, the children's father, 71-year-old David Sukonick, abducted them around 8 p.m. near the 100 block of West Avenue J-8 in Lancaster, a city approximately 70 miles north of Los Angeles. Authorities have classified the children as at-risk and expressed concern for their well-being.
Marozhina is described as a white girl, standing 4-foot-4 and weighing 90 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and pink shorts. Her twin brother, Solomon, is also 4-foot-4 and weighs 90 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue shorts.
David Sukonick was last seen wearing a white shirt, black pants, and a blue bandana. He was reportedly driving a black 2011 Lincoln Town Car with a California license plate reading 'SOLOYST.'
Social media posts from the father's public profile show recent celebrations of the twins' birthdays. On July 14, Sukonick posted about Marozhina turning nine years old, accompanying the message with a drawing by his daughter. He frequently shared images and videos of her artwork. In another post, Sukonick shared a photo of himself with both children, noting they were watching fireworks.
Sukonick's Facebook profile indicates he studied at the Antelope Valley Union High School District and was linked to Bolo Productions, a dance floor production company based in Lancaster. The company's website states Sukonick has a background as a professional ballet dancer for 20 years. His profile also identifies him as an accomplished pianist and violinist, as well as a dance videographer, with frequent posts about ballet.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of David Sukonick or the twins to contact the Lancaster station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
