Former U.S. Representative Sean Duffy is facing online ridicule following the resurfacing of a video in which he made remarks about actress Sydney Sweeney's breasts. In a 2024 episode of "From the Kitchen Table: The Duffys," Duffy stated, "Sydney Sweeney’s boobs make us want to reproduce... Sydney Sweeney’s boobs are gonna save America."
Duffy made these comments in front of his wife, Fox News host Rachel Campos-Duffy, who had prompted him to discuss the actress's appearance. He added, "If we’re honest, men appreciate women, and men that appreciate women are not toxic. God made us a certain way to appreciate and want to mate with a woman, and women are made the same way to want to be with a man." He told his wife that Sweeney is "a reminder that men are still men... I’m sorry, we are. And women are still women and that’s OK!"
The resurfaced remarks come shortly after Duffy faced criticism for claiming his daughter would be at risk of becoming "perverted and contorted" if she attended Harvard University. The juxtaposition of these two incidents led to increased online mockery.
Sweeney, who was identified as a registered Republican last year, was previously dubbed a "MAGA Barbie" after a controversial American Eagle campaign sparked debate online.
