Sean 'Diddy' Combs Reportedly Moved to Solitary Confinement After Prison Lifestyle Exposed

Sean "Diddy" Combs has reportedly been placed back in solitary confinement after an NBC report detailed allegations of a "pampered" prison lifestyle at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. TMZ reported Wednesday that the Bad Boys Records founder, serving a 50-month sentence, was moved to a special housing unit (SHU) following the report's publication.

Sources told TMZ that it is standard procedure for inmates to be placed in an SHU during investigations. The NBC report, published Tuesday, cited four men allegedly in the same unit as Combs, 56, who described his prison experience as exceptionally luxurious, with one stating, "This is not some normal s–t you see in jail. This is some rich s–t."

According to the report, Combs allegedly received special meals, including pizza, curry chicken, and empanadas, prepared by fellow inmates. One source claimed to have cooked for Combs and eventually grew tired of the arrangement. The report also included an alleged photograph of Combs using a contraband cellphone and suggested he received "sexually explicit photos" from an "old girlfriend." Furthermore, it was alleged that Combs had access to a stash of premium liquor, purportedly smuggled in by guards, and antidepressant drugs.

Combs' representative denied the allegations, stating, "The continued scrutiny of every mundane detail of Sean Combs’s life in prison has reached the point where the media characterizes ordinary prison life as news. The only real news is that Sean continues to serve his sentence within the rules and he patiently awaits the court’s decision on his appeal."

A spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons told Page Six that the agency does not comment on inmate conditions due to "privacy, safety and security reasons." The spokesperson added that contraband, particularly cell phones, narcotics, and weapons, remains a challenge, and the bureau is working to prevent its introduction into facilities.

This marks a return to solitary confinement for Combs, who had been excused from the unit in August following a fight with another inmate the previous month. Combs received his 50-month sentence in October 2025 after being found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution. His release date is currently projected for January 21, 2028.
