Sean "Diddy" Combs has been released from solitary confinement at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in New Jersey, according to TMZ. The music mogul was placed in solitary after an altercation with another inmate in July.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, in a statement to Page Six, declined to comment on inmate housing assignments for privacy, safety, and security reasons.

Combs, 56, was reportedly involved in a physical altercation with a fellow inmate last month, which led to him being placed in isolation. An insider alleged that Combs "felt dissed and took matters into his own hands," resulting in a pushing match. Prison staff intervened and separated the individuals.

Following the July incident, Combs' release date from Fort Dix was initially pushed back by one month, from February 23, 2028, to January 24, 2028. However, by August 4, the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed that his release date had been rescheduled again to February 20, 2028.

This is not the first time Combs' release date has been adjusted during his sentence. His initial release date of May 8, 2028, was moved to June 4, 2028, in November 2025 after he allegedly violated multiple prison rules. These alleged violations included drinking "homemade alcohol" and participating in a prohibited three-way phone call.

Combs is serving a four-year sentence at Fort Dix for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, for which he was found guilty in July 2025. He was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges. His sentence, handed down in October 2025, also includes a $500,000 fine and mandatory participation in mental health and substance abuse programs. He filed to appeal his sentence in December.
