Sean 'Diddy' Combs Punished for Prison Misconduct, Release Date Delayed

Sean "Diddy" Combs has been sanctioned by prison officials at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey for "disruptive conduct," according to NBC News, citing a union official familiar with the matter. The music mogul was reportedly stripped of 41 days of good conduct time, an action described by union secretary Jose Rojas as "among the most serious penalties."

This penalty is often imposed on inmates found with contraband cellphones. Reports indicate Combs allegedly used a cellphone in prison to view nude and sexually explicit photos from an former girlfriend. Rojas stated that such punishments are enforced on illegal devices because they "can put a hit on somebody with a phone in prison."

Combs's original release date was scheduled for June 2028. However, after the loss of good conduct time, his projected release date has been pushed back from January 2028 to March 2028. Prison disciplinary officials imposed the sanction after determining that Combs engaged in conduct that "disrupts or interferes with the security or orderly running of the institution."

Federal inmates can accrue up to 54 days of good conduct time per year. Combs, who is serving a 50-month sentence for prostitution-related offenses, was reportedly sent to solitary confinement after an NBC report detailed his alleged lavish prison lifestyle. Insiders told TMZ that it is standard procedure for inmates to be placed in a special housing unit during investigations.

A spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on individual inmate confinement conditions, citing privacy, safety, and security reasons. A representative for Combs stated they were unaware of any disciplinary action and added, "Sean remains focused on serving his sentence and returning to his family."

The initial report detailing Combs's alleged cushy prison accommodations surfaced last month. Four inmates reportedly told NBC that Combs spent thousands of dollars monthly and had access to a cellphone, alcohol, and services from other inmates, including prepared meals and cleaned living spaces.
