Sean 'Diddy' Combs' Prison Release Date Delayed Amid Reports of Lavish Jail Life
Bureau of Prisons records indicate a revised release date for the rapper following allegations of special treatment.
Sean "Diddy" Combs' projected release date from federal prison has been postponed, according to Bureau of Prisons (BOP) records obtained by Page Six. The hip-hop mogul, originally slated for release on January 21, 2028, is now expected to be freed on March 2, 2028.
This shift follows recent reports detailing allegations of Combs receiving preferential treatment during his incarceration at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. Sources cited by NBC News indicated that Combs has had individuals cooking and cleaning for him, and receiving Chinese-style massages. The reports also included claims of Combs possessing contraband cellphones, which he allegedly used to view explicit photos and access social media, and obtaining antidepressant drugs and a hidden supply of premium liquor.
Combs' representative issued a statement asserting that the rapper "continues to serve his sentence within the rules" and is awaiting a court decision on his appeal. The statement criticized the media's focus on "mundane details" of his prison life.
A BOP spokesperson stated that the agency does not comment on inmate conditions due to privacy, safety, and security concerns.
Following the surfacing of these reports, Combs was reportedly moved back into solitary confinement.
Combs was convicted in July of two counts of transportation for prostitution and sentenced to 50 months in prison.
