Progressive congressional candidate Scott Wiener encountered protesters at the San Francisco Trans March, according to reports and social media videos. The incident occurred days after a video surfaced of a pro-Palestinian individual confronting Wiener in a restaurant.

During the march, individuals challenged Wiener, who is gay and Jewish, on his position regarding the conflict in Gaza. One person is heard in a video telling Wiener, "You do not belong here anymore." Another protester stated that Wiener "stopped being queer the moment he started supporting Israel."

Wiener, a candidate for the congressional seat previously held by Nancy Pelosi, has publicly stated his views on the conflict. Earlier this year, he declared, "I do believe Israel has committed genocide in Gaza." He further elaborated that the Israeli government's actions appeared to aim at destroying Gaza and displacing Palestinians, which he stated qualifies as genocide.

Wiener is running against San Francisco supervisor Connie Chan in the upcoming election for California's 11th congressional district. Chan has received an endorsement from Pelosi.
