Scarlett Moffatt, a television personality and expectant mother of two, has shared insights into her family's evolving dynamic, where her fiancé, Scott Dobinson, has left his career as a police officer to become a stay-at-home father. Moffatt, who is pregnant with their second child, stated that she feels fortunate to have this dedicated family time.

Moffatt returned to work last year after a two-year break, during which Dobinson took on the primary caregiving responsibilities for their three-year-old son, Jude. She noted the flexibility this arrangement provides, allowing them to spend significant time together as a family. "I'm aware of how lucky and privileged we are to be able to spend so much time as a family," Moffatt told the Daily Mail. "We live in a family where isn't even a thought of like, 'oh well you have a penis so that must have mean that you have to go to work!'"

Recent events, including the passing of her grandfather and Dobinson's mother, have underscored the importance of this family time. Moffatt described Dobinson's presence at home as "divine intervention," believing it has allowed the family to relax and connect.

Initially, Moffatt had planned a one-year hiatus from work, but her subsequent pregnancy led to an extended period at home. This allowed Dobinson to continue as the primary caregiver. Regarding financial concerns, Moffatt acknowledged that income can fluctuate for those in self-employment, drawing parallels with friends in various freelance professions. She expressed that while her income is dependent on her television work, they manage these fluctuations.

Moffatt also discussed the possibility of returning to the show that launched her career, "Gogglebox." While she joked that her family might be too "boring" for a fly-on-the-wall series, she expressed enthusiasm for revisiting "Gogglebox" if the opportunity arose, recalling the significant laughter experienced while filming.

With the arrival of their second son imminent, Moffatt reflected on the journey to conceive her first child, which took four years. The couple is open to the idea of expanding their family further, with Moffatt expressing a desire for a large family.

Moffatt has partnered with Google Gemini for their "Gemi-dorm" campaign, which aims to alleviate parental guilt associated with keeping children entertained during holiday breaks. Research indicates that a significant percentage of parents feel pressure to provide elaborate activities, often exacerbated by financial concerns. The Gemini app offers parents tailored activity ideas based on children's ages, interests, budgets, and locations, promoting the idea that quality family time does not require extravagant outings. "That's what's perfect about this, it shows you don't need to do crazy elaborate things, you can do stuff with loads of fun things with what you have in your shed or under the bed and have a laugh," Moffatt said. She emphasized that spending time with a child and ensuring their enjoyment is the most important aspect of parenting.
