Savannah Chrisley Secretly Married Convicted Fraudster Jason Galanis
The reality television personality, 29, wed Jason Galanis, 56, in the Cayman Islands in July, more than three months before announcing her pregnancy.
Savannah Chrisley, 29, has secretly married her fiancé, convicted fraudster Jason Galanis, 56. The couple exchanged vows on July 14 in the Cayman Islands, according to marriage records obtained by People. This union occurred more than three months before Chrisley announced her pregnancy.
Galanis was sentenced in September 2020 to more than 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to orchestrating financial fraud schemes that targeted a Native American tribe and investors, defrauding them of millions. He was ordered to forfeit over $80 million and pay more than $80 million in restitution. Galanis had previously been a business associate of Hunter Biden and testified in March 2024 before a Republican impeachment probe against former President Joe Biden while still in custody.
Chrisley revealed her pregnancy on Tuesday, initially referring to her partner only as 'J.' She later confirmed his identity as Jason Galanis and defended their relationship, stating that her baby is 'innocent.' She also addressed the 27-year age difference between them on her podcast, Unlocked, expressing a preference for a shorter, fulfilling relationship over a longer, mediocre one.
"I have always said, 'I would rather [have] 20 phenomenal, unbelievable years with someone than 50 just [fine] years,'" Chrisley stated. She described Galanis as her "best friend" with whom she shares mutual "love and respect" and emphasized their shared dreams and partnership.
Chrisley's father, Todd Chrisley, addressed the relationship on the Dumb Blonde podcast, admitting that while he did not initially embrace the pairing due to the age gap, he chose to support his daughter. "It was either embrace my daughter's decision or lose my daughter, and nothing is ever coming between me and my daughter," he said, adding that Galanis has treated her with respect.
In March 2025, then-President Donald Trump commuted Galanis's sentence. Months later, Trump issued pardons to Savannah's parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, for their 2022 bank fraud and tax evasion convictions. At the time, prosecutors stated that the Chrisleys had obtained millions in bank loans under fraudulent circumstances and were accused of hiding income to avoid taxes. Savannah Chrisley had endorsed Trump during the 2024 Republican National Convention, asserting that his administration recognized the alleged corruption in her parents' case.
Chrisley and Galanis became engaged last December in the Cayman Islands. Galanis presented Chrisley with an oval-cut diamond ring he had designed with Genovese Jewelers.
