Savannah Chrisley's Fiancé and Father Shared Prison Time, Both Pardoned by Trump
Jason Galanis, Savannah Chrisley's fiancé, and her father, Todd Chrisley, overlapped in prison from January to August 2023, with both men having received presidential pardons.
Savannah Chrisley's fiancé, Jason Galanis, and her father, Todd Chrisley, served time in the same federal prison, according to reports. Both men were incarcerated at Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida, and their time overlapped between January and August 2023. Both individuals also received pardons from President Trump.
Galanis, 56, was sentenced in September 2020 to over 14 years in prison for his involvement in two fraudulent schemes, one of which defrauded a Native American tribe and investors of tens of millions of dollars. He was ordered to forfeit approximately $80 million and pay an equal amount in restitution. While still incarcerated, Galanis testified in March 2024 as part of the Republican impeachment inquiry into former President Joe Biden, having been identified as an associate of Hunter Biden.
President Trump commuted Galanis's prison sentence in March 2025. In May 2025, Trump also pardoned Todd and Julie Chrisley, who had been convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in June 2022. The reality television stars were found guilty of submitting fraudulent documents to banks for loans, and Julie Chrisley was also accused of submitting false credit reports and bank statements to rent a home.
Savannah Chrisley, 29, announced her pregnancy and engagement to Galanis, who is significantly older, on Tuesday. While she initially referred to him only as "J," Us Weekly identified him as Jason Galanis. She has since defended their 27-year age difference, stating on her "Unlocked" podcast that she believes in having meaningful years with someone rather than a lifetime of mediocrity. Chrisley described Galanis as "the love of my life and my best friend," noting that he "doesn’t look his age, nor does he act his age."
