Savannah Chrisley Defends Unborn Child Amid Fiancé's Fraud Conviction
Reality star Savannah Chrisley addressed public criticism over her relationship with Jason Galanis, a convicted fraudster whose sentence was commuted by President Donald Trump.
Savannah Chrisley turned her focus to her unborn child on Tuesday, stating the baby is "innocent" amidst public backlash over her relationship with fiancé Jason Galanis, a convicted fraudster.
Chrisley, 29, shared a sonogram clip on her Instagram Stories, declaring her baby "is not defined by anyone’s past, anyone’s mistakes, or anyone’s opinions." She added, "You are innocent, deeply loved, and the greatest blessing God could have ever entrusted your daddy and I with." She concluded the message by stating, "No amount of noise in this world will ever overshadow the joy of being your mama."

The controversy emerged after Us Weekly confirmed that Chrisley's mystery fiancé was 56-year-old Galanis. Galanis was sentenced in 2020 to over 15 years in prison for his role in multimillion-dollar fraud schemes, including market manipulation and defrauding investors. His sentence was commuted by President Donald Trump last year.

Chrisley had announced her engagement and pregnancy earlier on Tuesday via Instagram, posting a montage of clips showing her and her fiancé looking at their sonogram, kissing, and cradling her baby bump. She captioned the post, "I’ve prayed for this life. I’ve cried for this life. And there were moments I truly wondered if this life would ever be mine."

She described Galanis, whom she met through "the world of politics" last year while seeking a presidential pardon for her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, as her "protector, fiercest fighter and safe place." She elaborated on their relationship, stating, "For the first time in a long time, I feel safe. I feel fulfilled. I can finally exhale. I found my forever in you."

Chrisley also addressed the age gap between them, noting that Galanis, 56, "doesn't act his age" and possesses a sharp mind. They began dating in July 2025 and became engaged in December of the same year.

Galanis previously testified from behind bars in March 2024 during the Republican impeachment inquiry into former President Joe Biden, as he is a former associate of Hunter Biden.
