Savannah Chrisley Defends Age Gap with Fiancé Amid Backlash
The pregnant reality star stated she doesn't care about criticism of her relationship with Jason.
Pregnant reality star Savannah Chrisley is addressing criticism of her relationship with fiancé Jason, emphasizing her disregard for public backlash regarding their age difference. Chrisley, 29, shared her perspective on the latest episode of her podcast, "Unlocked," asserting that her partner "does not act his age."
Chrisley acknowledged that the age gap might be a reason she kept their relationship private since it began last year. "I have always said, 'I would rather [have] 20 phenomenal, unbelievable years with someone than 50 just [fine] years,'" she stated. She further elaborated on the depth of their connection, citing "love and respect" and their shared dreams and activities.
She clarified that her fiancé "does not look his age, nor does he act his age," praising his physique and intellect. Chrisley reiterated her indifference to the criticism, stating, "I really don’t care, OK? Like, this person is the love of my life. And it made all the heartbreak that I’ve gone through worth it."
During the podcast episode, Chrisley confirmed their engagement, which occurred during a vacation in the Cayman Islands in December 2025. The ring designer subsequently shared images of the engagement ring on Instagram. Chrisley also revealed her pregnancy, showcasing her baby bump and the ring in a social media announcement.
Chrisley expressed her excitement about their growing family, writing on Instagram, "J, watching the way you already love and protect our baby before he/she has even entered this world has made me fall in love with you in an entirely new way. Not a single doctor’s appointment missed."
She described Jason as her "protector," "fiercest fighter," and "safe place." The baby is due in January, with the couple planning to marry four months later. Chrisley noted the swift progression of their relationship, which began in 2025, stating, "Timing means nothing."
The couple met while Chrisley was campaigning for the pardons of her parents, Julie and Todd Chrisley, which were granted in May 2025.
