Savannah Chrisley Defends Age-Gap Relationship, Announces Pregnancy

Savannah Chrisley, the 29-year-old reality television personality, has publicly addressed the age difference in her relationship with fiancé Jason, who is reportedly 56. Chrisley confirmed on her podcast, "Unlocked," that she is engaged and expecting her first child.

Chrisley acknowledged the significant age gap between herself and Jason, stating that it was a primary reason she initially kept the relationship private due to anticipated public criticism. "Yes, there is a huge age gap there, OK? And that’s probably part of the reason why I kept a lot of it quiet, because I know how brutal the public can be. But I genuinely do not care," she said.

She defended the relationship by emphasizing the depth of their connection, stating, "I have always said, ‘I would rather [have] 20 phenomenal, unbelievable years with someone than 50 ‘meh’ years.' Like, the amount of love and respect that we have, we have so many dreams, and we dream together, we work together … we want to have life experiences with each other."

Chrisley revealed that Jason proposed in December 2025. She recalled his words upon presenting the ring: "Before I open this, I just want you to know that this is just an expression of love to you. This can be whatever you want it to be. This can be an engagement ring, a promise ring, a cocktail ring for all I care. I just want you to know how much I love you." She characterized the engagement as quick but maintained that "timing means nothing."

In addition to the engagement, Chrisley announced her pregnancy, sharing her emotional journey on Instagram. "I’ve prayed for this life. I’ve cried for this life. And there were moments I truly wondered if this life would ever be mine," she wrote, reflecting on past hardships. She described Jason as her "protector," "fiercest fighter," and "most loyal person," adding, "For the first time in a long time, I feel safe. I feel fulfilled. I can finally exhale. I found my forever in you."

Chrisley also shared her gratitude for Jason's support during the pregnancy, noting his consistent presence at doctor's appointments and his affirmations of her changing body. "And to the woman still in her waiting season… wondering when it will finally be her turn, wondering if God has forgotten her… Please don’t mistake God’s silence for His absence," she advised.

Previously, Chrisley had discussed the age difference with podcast host Jana Kramer, admitting that her father, Todd Chrisley, was not entirely supportive of it. Despite this, she stated that the relationship is the "healthiest relationship" she has ever experienced, highlighting Jason's lack of intimidation by her success and his role as her "biggest cheerleader."
