Saturday Night Live UK Mocks Royal Family with 'Sandringham Reunion' Sketch
The comedy show depicted Prince Andrew arranging an awkward meeting between Prince William and Kate and Prince Harry and Meghan.
Saturday Night Live UK featured a sketch comedy segment that humorously portrayed an unlikely reunion between members of the British Royal Family, orchestrated by Prince Andrew.
The cold open of the recent episode depicted the Prince and Princess of Wales, played by Freddie Meredith and Annabel Marlow, being brought together at Sandringham with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, portrayed by Jack Shep and Ayoade Bamgboye. The sketch highlighted perceived tensions and past remarks, with Meghan recalling an instance where her grandfather asked if she was related to Beyoncé, and Harry noting his grandfather asked if he was related to him. Kate also commented on Meghan's past role in the television show "Suits," to which Harry responded that she was no longer on the show and "doesn't do anything anymore."
The sketch then introduced King Charles, Queen Camilla, and Prince Andrew, with Andrew making a reference to "Pizza Express Woking," a nod to a past scandal. When Charles addressed Andrew without his former title, Andrew insisted on being called "Prince Andrew." The King's character then confronted Andrew about his actions, stating, "You're arrogant. You're entitled. You represent an outdated institution that has had centuries of war, tax evasion, and slavery... but you have also been accused of terrible things, and that's where I draw the line." Andrew's character responded, "I swear, I never believed for one moment that my actions would have consequences."
This is not the first time Saturday Night Live UK has satirized the Royal Family. In a previous episode, the show referenced Harry and Meghan's return to the UK after stepping back as working royals. That sketch, set at Balmoral, included Charles joking about their status as non-working royals and Camilla making a comment about Meghan's appearance.
Prince Andrew resigned from royal duties in 2019 due to his association with Jeffrey Epstein and was later stripped of his military titles and royal patronages. In February 2026, he was questioned by police in connection with allegations of misconduct in public office related to Epstein, which he denies.
The episode was hosted by Danny Dyer, who also made a jest about his own supposed royal connections. The musical guest was Sasha Keable, and James Norton is slated to host the upcoming episode.
