Saturday Night Live will return with new episodes on Saturday, September 26, marking the premiere of its 52nd season. The upcoming episode will feature New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson as host, with the pop group Katseye set as the musical guest.
This announcement comes after a period of repeats, with the September 19th broadcast being a rerun of a Season 51 episode. The season premiere will be available to stream live and on demand on Peacock, with on-demand access beginning Sunday, September 27.
Subsequent episodes have also been announced. The second episode, scheduled for October 3, will feature Dakota Johnson as host and the band Turnstile as the musical guest. For October 10, Shane Gillis is slated to host with Rosalía performing. The final announced episode for October 31 will have Inde Navarrette as host and Gracie Abrams as the musical guest.
In addition to the new season, Saturday Night Live has added two new featured players to its cast: Saidah Belo-Osagie and Grace Reiter. Ashley Padilla and Jane Wickline have been promoted to repertory player status.
