Satirical News Site Highlights French Protests and Political Anecdotes

The satirical news outlet The Babylon Bee has published several humorous articles touching on various political and social topics. One piece humorously suggests that recent riots in France have fizzled out because the French population refuses to protest for more than 32 hours per week. A quote from a fictional local man, Martin Roux, states, "This is ridiculous. We’re not rioting one minute past 32 hours, you hear?"

Another article pokes fun at U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar, with the headline "Ilhan Omar Starting To Regret Hiring Immigration Attorney From Quality Citizenship Center." The fictional Omar is quoted as questioning, "How could this have happened to me? Quality Citizeship Center promises that all their lawyers come from best ‘lawyer learing centers’ in the state."

A separate report satirizes Elon Musk's involvement with Ukraine's Starlink service, claiming he has downgraded it to dial-up speeds using Netscape Navigator. The article includes a fabricated quote from Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, lamenting, "It’s not even 56k, it’s a 14.4 modem we have to work with. I can’t even play StarCraft. Not that I’m trying to. But the buffering is ridiculous."

Additionally, The Babylon Bee has published a story about "Millions of 12-Foot-Tall Lawn Skeletons Discovered on Dem Voter Rolls." The satirical piece quotes a fictional lead investigator, Greg Vance, who allegedly said, "We became suspicious when turnout in the 12-to-15-foot demographic reached into the millions."
