Sasha Obama, 25, was seen leaving a Los Angeles gym on Monday, dressed in athletic wear and sporting a bright yellow manicure. She wore cornflower-blue spandex shorts and a black zip-up jacket, carrying a large black bag and Apple AirPods. The sighting occurred just weeks after her father, former President Barack Obama, stated in an interview that he finds his daughters, Malia and Sasha, to be cooler and funnier than himself.
"They are cooler, smarter, funnier... Those two, Malia and Sasha are all that," Obama told People magazine in June. He added, "If I were their age... I can barely keep up with them at the dinner table now, if I was their contemporary, I would just sit there."
Sasha, who graduated from the University of Southern California in 2023, resides in Los Angeles with her older sister, Malia, 28. On this occasion, she appeared to be alone.
Michelle Obama also commented on their daughters' maturity and the generational differences in a June interview. She mentioned that the family maintains their primary residence in Washington D.C. to be near the girls' friends. "When the kids come home from being away, they want to be with their friends," she explained.
Earlier in June, the family of four attended the opening of The Obama Presidential Center in Chicago. During the event, Michelle Obama praised her husband's "truest essence, stubborn optimism and unflinching courage," as well as his "dazzling brilliance, unpretentious decency, ferocious work ethic and unshakable moral fiber."
