Sarah Murdoch, 54, made a striking public appearance on Friday at the Tropfest 2027 media launch in Sydney, presenting a picture of supermodel poise. She greeted attendees wearing a black Tropfest T-shirt paired with bright red pants, keeping her hair and makeup understated with a relaxed blonde lob and natural beauty.
Murdoch, who has maintained a lower profile recently, was later joined by festival founder John Polson, Premier of New South Wales Chris Minns, director George Miller, and actor Bryan Brown.
Her last public sighting was in January at the Australian Open in Melbourne. At that event, she was seen alongside actress Sarah Snook and Pia Whitesell, dressed casually in a blue polo shirt over a white T-shirt, grey trousers, and carrying a brown Prada purse.
In December 2025, Murdoch attended a vigil for victims of the Bondi Beach terror attack at the Bondi Pavilion. She appeared visibly distressed, with her husband, Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch, offering support. The couple wore subdued attire for the somber occasion, with Sarah in a navy blouse and black trousers, and dark sunglasses.
Sarah and Lachlan Murdoch have been married since 1999, celebrating 26 years together. They have three children: Kalan Alexander, 22; Aidan Patrick, 20; and Aerin Elisabeth, 16. The couple resides in Sydney.
