Sarah Jessica Parker's Son James Wilkie Broderick Attends Event with Parents, Resembles Mother

James Wilkie Broderick, the 23-year-old son of actors Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, attended the opening night of the revival of "Other Desert Cities" in New York City alongside his parents. His appearance at the event drew attention for his striking resemblance to his mother, particularly echoing her look from "Sex and the City."

Broderick, dressed in a navy suit and tie, sported shoulder-length hair with a curl similar to Parker's style in the popular HBO series. Parker, 61, wore a black dress and blazer, while Broderick, 64, donned a gray suit.

This public appearance comes after speculation that James Wilkie might be pursuing a modeling career. The rumors began in early June following the release of images from a photoshoot for photographer Brad Walsh's book "FELLA: Images of Men." However, James Wilkie himself addressed these rumors in an Instagram Story in August, stating, "I'm definitely not turning to a modeling career." He reiterated this sentiment in a comment on an Instagram post, writing, "I'm not tryna be a model lol!"

James Wilkie Broderick, who often goes by James Wilkie professionally, is the eldest child of Parker and Broderick, who have been married for nearly 30 years. The couple also have 17-year-old twin daughters, Tabitha Hodge and Loretta Elwell.

Emerging as an actor, James Wilkie made his onscreen debut in the Apple TV+ miniseries "Lady in the Lake" in 2024. He also landed a role in an episode of the CBS series "Elsbeth," where he appeared with his father. Last summer, he performed in the off-off-Broadway production of "This Lime Tree Bower."

Parker has previously spoken about her parenting philosophy regarding her children's careers and financial independence. She and Broderick, whose combined net worth is estimated at $200 million, do not plan to financially support their children's careers or lifestyles. "You want for them to be pursuing things that are exciting and challenging and hard and gratifying," Parker told E! News last year. "And [we want them] to be able to ultimately take care of themselves, support themselves - emotionally, financially - and that they can be in the world and be a reliable person to themselves and to other people."

Parker's upcoming projects include reprising her role in "The Families Stone" sequel and starring in "Hocus Pocus 3." Broderick recently appeared in the Netflix drama "Painkiller" and received an Emmy nomination for his guest role in "Only Murders in the Building."
