Sarah Jessica Parker Channels Carrie Bradshaw with Braided Look at NYC Ballet Gala
The actress sported a voluminous fishtail braid with pink ribbons, reminiscent of her iconic character, while attending the event with husband Matthew Broderick.
Sarah Jessica Parker embraced her inner Carrie Bradshaw at the 2026 New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala on Thursday, opting for a dramatic fishtail braid adorned with pink ribbons. The hairstyle echoed a similar embellished floral braid worn by her character in the "Sex and the City" spinoff, "And Just Like That."
Parker, 61, attended the event with her husband, Matthew Broderick, 64. She wore a semi-sheer, long-sleeved dress featuring floral embroidery and additional pink ribbon details, complemented by silver jewelry and sparkling silver heels. The ensemble evoked the spirit of Bradshaw's signature tulle skirt looks.
Broderick, known for his role in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," appeared in a classic black tuxedo with a bow tie, a white floral boutonnière, and eyeglasses. The couple posed for several red carpet photos before joining other notable guests inside the gala.
Parker, who has played Carrie Bradshaw for over two decades across "Sex and the City," its films, and "And Just Like That," has consistently drawn inspiration from her most famous role for her public appearances. Her role as Bradshaw began in 1998 and has continued through various iterations of the franchise.
Parker and Broderick, who have been married since May 19, 1997, recently celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary. Parker marked the occasion with a public tribute on Instagram. The couple share three children: James, 23, and 16-year-old twins Tabitha and Marion, the latter of whom were born via surrogate.
