Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick Step Out for NYC Ballet Gala

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick made a joint appearance at the New York City Ballet 2026 Fall Fashion Gala on Thursday evening. The actress, 61, wore a pastel organza dress adorned with pink ribbons and paired it with silver heels for the event held at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center.

Parker, known for her role in "Sex and the City," was accompanied by her husband, 64-year-old actor Matthew Broderick. She showcased her graying hair, styled in a long braid. In the past, Parker has publicly expressed her discomfort with being called "brave" for embracing her natural gray hair. Following a viral photo in 2021, she stated that the attention felt excessive, wishing for recognition of other forms of courage.

Parker has previously explained her decision to stop coloring her hair was due to the time commitment involved. She told Allure magazine that she could not dedicate the necessary two weeks for root touch-ups.

The couple, who met in November 1991 while working on a Broadway production, were among the guests at the gala, which also included attendees like Julia Fox and Stevie Nicks.

Parker and Broderick's relationship began when they were both dating other people, but they eventually ended those relationships to be together. They starred together on Broadway in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" in 1996 before marrying the following year. Parker has spoken fondly of Broderick, describing him as "the funniest fellow" she had ever met and "the most handsome man." Broderick, in turn, has described their meeting as love at first sight.

They married on May 19, 1997, in New York City. Their son, James Wilkie Broderick, was born in October 2002. In June 2009, they welcomed twin daughters, Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick and Tabitha Hodge Broderick, via surrogate.

Reflecting on their long-term relationship, Parker told The Telegraph that marriages, like other meaningful relationships, experience varying periods of good, decent, and bad days. She also marked their 20th wedding anniversary in May 2017 with an Instagram post expressing her love for Broderick.
