Sarah's Trust, a charity founded by Sarah Ferguson, has officially ceased operations and has been removed from the public register of charities. The organization had announced in February that it would close for the "foreseeable future." This decision followed the release of documents by the U.S. Department of Justice earlier this year, which detailed Ferguson's past association with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The released documents, including emails, suggested Ferguson had contact with Epstein while he was incarcerated for soliciting a minor. While being named in these documents does not imply wrongdoing, the revelations have led to increased scrutiny of Ferguson's public roles.

Sarah's Trust was established in 2020 with the stated mission of supporting humanitarian and environmental efforts, addressing the hunger crisis, and tackling extreme poverty. A spokesperson for the foundation indicated in February that the closure followed several months of internal discussions, without providing further specific reasons at the time.

This development comes after Ferguson has been dropped by multiple charities due to her connections with Epstein. In October, she relinquished her title as Duchess of York when her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, stepped down from his royal duties over his own ties to Epstein. Ferguson also moved out of Royal Lodge, the Windsor residence she shared with her former husband despite their divorce in 1996.
