Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, is reportedly planning to move back to Britain within days, according to reports.
Ferguson, 66, has spent the past seven months traveling across Europe, including stays in Switzerland and Austria. She is understood to be renting a six-bedroom house in a gated community in the Home Counties, with monthly rent costing approximately £10,000.
A source close to Ferguson told The Sun that she has been considering a return to Britain for some time, but finding a suitable new residence took time. The source added that Ferguson had not needed to worry about accommodation for two decades, having lived at Royal Lodge with her ex-husband, Prince Andrew.
Ferguson's reported return comes shortly after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle relocated back to the UK with their children. A source indicated that Ferguson hopes to "slip back under the radar" amid the attention on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Removal vans have reportedly been seen collecting Ferguson's belongings from Prince Andrew's home in Sandringham. Ferguson and Andrew were stripped of their royal titles in October following public scrutiny related to the former Duke of York's association with convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The couple, who lived at Royal Lodge for 18 years, were evicted from the property in February.
During her time abroad, Ferguson was observed at a spa in Austria and at a chalet in Verbier, Switzerland, which belonged to her late former lover, Paddy McNally. Prince Andrew remains under police investigation concerning his links to Epstein and has denied any wrongdoing.
