Sarah Abo will not return to the Today show as she is experiencing health complications related to her pregnancy. The presenter, who is expecting her first child, has been absent from the program since last week and her departure will not include an on-air farewell.

Abo addressed her early exit on Instagram, sharing that she has been dealing with high blood pressure. "Copped a bit of a curveball last week with high blood pressure and have been in and out of hospital since," she wrote. "Thankfully I’m in the safe hands of magnificent doctors, nurses and midwives taking incredibly good care of bub and me and we are both well."

Earlier on Wednesday, Today's stand-in hosts Sylvia Jeffreys and Charles Croucher announced Abo's departure. They stated that Abo had hoped for an official farewell but had been advised by doctors to rest.
