Saracens has terminated the contract of academy player Totoa Auvaa with immediate effect following a recent incident in St Albans. The club confirmed the decision, stating that Auvaa's conduct does not meet the standards expected of individuals representing Saracens.

Auvaa, a 21-year-old Samoan forward, had previously been suspended from club duties while the club investigated the St Albans incident. In a statement, Saracens emphasized their commitment to upholding expected conduct standards across the club, acknowledging responsibilities to supporters, young people, and partners.

This latest incident follows an earlier event in June where Auvaa was involved in a nightclub altercation with England cricketers Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson. At that time, Auvaa was not sanctioned, while Stokes and Atkinson were found to have breached contractual obligations but were cleared of violent conduct. The June incident resulted in a member of England's security staff requiring medical attention.

Stokes and Atkinson were temporarily made unavailable for England's second Test against New Zealand. Stokes was later reinstated for the third Test, after which he announced his retirement from international cricket.
