Sara Haines Absent From 'The View's' Latest Episode
Co-host Sara Haines was notably missing from the panel on Wednesday's episode of the ABC talk show, prompting speculation.
Sara Haines was absent from the Wednesday, September 16, 2026, episode of ABC's "The View," leaving only four co-hosts at the Hot Topics table. Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin were present for the broadcast.
Haines' absence was addressed at the start of the show by Goldberg, who told viewers, "As you see, Sara’s out today. She’ll be with us maybe tomorrow, we’ll see." Behar interjected to assure the audience that Haines is "not sick," adding, "Because people get worried when somebody disappears. But she’s not sick."
Goldberg explained the co-hosts' decision to mention Haines' absence, stating, "We mention it because we don’t want them to think we don’t notice it. You know what I mean? So that’s why we say what you already can see."
The current season of "The View" began on September 8, 2026, with all six co-hosts, including Ana Navarro, present for the premiere episode.
