Sandra Smith Marks 19 Years at Fox News, Reflects on Career Milestones

Sandra Smith is celebrating 19 years with Fox News, a tenure marked by covering significant national events, contributing to the launch of prominent shows, and navigating the balance between a demanding career and motherhood.
Smith joined the network in October 2007, initially reporting for the Fox Business Network before transitioning to Fox News Channel. Her career has spanned pivotal moments in American history, including the 2008 financial crisis and numerous presidential elections. She has also had the opportunity to moderate presidential primary debates and conduct interviews with prominent figures such as Supreme Court justices, presidents, military leaders, and Wall Street executives.
"I've had the privilege of moderating presidential primary debates, conducting the first live interview inside the Vice President’s Ceremonial Office, interviewing Supreme Court justices, presidents, military leaders and Wall Street CEOs, and reporting live from the trading floors of New York and Chicago," Smith wrote in a reflection on her anniversary.
In addition to her reporting duties, Smith has been involved in the development of several Fox News programs. She was part of the team that launched "Outnumbered" in 2014, the relaunch of "America's Newsroom" in 2018, and the debut of "America Reports with John Roberts and Sandra Smith" in 2021. These shows are noted for their role in Fox News' leading position in daytime viewership.
Smith also highlighted the personal impact of her career, particularly the lessons learned from balancing her professional life with motherhood. She expressed gratitude to Fox News leadership, including Lachlan, Suzanne, and Jay, for opportunities to grow and take on new challenges.
Reflecting on her time at the network, Smith emphasized the significance of the viewers. "And after all these years, what drives me is still the same thing that drove me on day one: the viewers. They deserve someone who is prepared, asks the hard questions and never stops working for them."
