Cookbook author Sandra Lee recently visited the Westchester County home she previously shared with former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and publicly criticized its current owners' landscaping. Lee, who sold the property in 2020, posted a video on Instagram describing the grounds as "lazy" and "tragic."
In the video, Lee pointed out overgrown wisteria and lily pads, as well as a pine tree with a missing branch, which she suggested was a result of neglect rather than storm damage. She stated, "Makes me sick! So not cool—I can’t even imagine what the inside looks like. #lazyowners #tragedy #notcool."
Lee also commented on what appeared to be a freshly mowed lawn, lamenting, "It’s awful. It makes me so sad. Look at this disaster. I can’t believe it," and claiming that "you can’t even see the boxwood" despite them being visible.
This is not the first time Lee has drawn attention to the property. In 2023, she reportedly visited the home with her broker and paparazzi, with a source telling Page Six that she was upset over what she perceived as the deterioration of the landscaping she had worked on. Lee moved to Los Angeles after her separation from Cuomo in September 2019.
Following her criticism, Lee reportedly deleted and disabled comments on her recent Instagram post after facing backlash from users who called her actions "trespassing" and questioned her right to critique the current homeowners. Many commenters suggested that the owners might be facing personal issues that affect their ability to maintain the property.
