San Jose's Eastridge Center is set to host its first-ever after-hours rave, an event dubbed "Mallorama," on September 5. The 55-year-old shopping center will open its doors from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. for the unique, late-night party.

Organized by San Jose Foos in collaboration with Brownies & Lemonade, the event promises a full stage, sound, and lighting system, featuring a secret lineup of DJs. Staff and security will be on-site to manage the festivities. "We are so excited to be bringing something so fun and unique to our beloved Eastridge Center right here in San Jose," San Jose Foos stated on Facebook.

While most mall stores will be closed, select food vendors are expected to remain open. The event aims to attract a younger demographic seeking experiential gatherings, a trend noted by industry observers as malls seek to re-engage shoppers.

Tickets for the 21-and-over event are available through Eventbrite. General Admission Tiers 1-3 are sold out, with Tier 4 tickets priced at $65. A "last chance" ticket offering is also planned but has not yet gone on sale. A valid government-issued ID is required for entry.
