A grand mansion in San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood, previously owned by Oracle co-founder Robert Miner's daughter, Nicole Miner, and her author husband, Robert Mailer Anderson, has been listed for $65 million. The property, spanning 11,150 square feet and featuring four bedrooms, is believed to be the priciest residence to enter the San Francisco market in 2026.
The philanthropists are selling the home as they downsize, according to listing agent Ronda Priestner of Compass.
The estate, located at 2916 Pacific Ave., was formerly the site of Grant Elementary School before it closed in 1971. Miner and Anderson purchased three vacant lots for $5 million in 1999 and reportedly invested approximately $25 million in construction and land costs to create the "modern estate." The residence is constructed of limestone and wood and was designed by architect Marc LaRoche.
Notable features of the property include extensive gardens, sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay, a gated entrance opening to a courtyard with citrus trees, and a design incorporating original carved stone from the former school. The home also boasts a spa, a sports court, and a separate 4,800-square-foot guesthouse.
Miner and Anderson, known for their contributions to the arts and Democratic causes, have hosted a variety of prominent figures at the residence. Guests have reportedly included former President Barack Obama for an intimate dinner, as well as musicians Al Green, Elvis Costello, Les Claypool, and Booker T., comedian Dave Chappelle, and authors Amy Tan and Daniel Handler.
San Francisco's high-end real estate market has seen a significant increase in home prices, with the tech and AI sectors cited as contributing factors to the surge.
