A San Diego woman has pleaded guilty to eavesdropping after secretly livestreaming more than 700 hours of footage from her ex-husband's Ring cameras, which captured intimate and private moments of his new fiancée. Rayna Bell admitted to the misdemeanor charge after allegedly spying on her former husband's new partner, Acacia Young.

Prosecutors stated that the couple became aware of the surveillance when they began hearing a familiar voice, which Young soon identified as Bell's. The intrusions led the couple to leave their home and replace the affected security cameras. Young reported finding over a dozen video clips containing Bell's voice.

Bell initially denied the allegations, describing them in court documents as a "smear campaign." Young expressed relief following Bell's admission, stating, "We've been trying to convince everyone, you know, of the truth and now we no longer have to do that. She admitted it herself."

The privacy invasion significantly disrupted the couple's sense of security. "We tried so hard to try to restore the peace, the security, the privacy. Once you are robbed of that, it's almost impossible to try to restore that in your home," Young said.

Bell is ordered to pay restitution to the victims, the amount of which is to be determined. She will serve one day in custody with credit for time served and will be on probation for one year. Young indicated that she is pursuing additional civil action and acknowledged the lasting impact of the privacy breach, saying, "You're always going to feel like they can do it again, or if they had the opportunity, they would do it again."
