Chicago Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong had a career-defining day at Wrigley Field on Saturday, hitting three home runs in a single game against the Cincinnati Reds. The 24-year-old's performance, which included a leadoff homer, a second-inning blast, and a seventh-inning no-doubter, was part of the Cubs' dominant 17-5 victory.

Crow-Armstrong's standout game was not the only notable event at Wrigley Field. The Cubs also honored their 150th Anniversary Team with a ceremony before the game, including Cubs legend Sammy Sosa. According to Crow-Armstrong, he had a brief interaction with Sosa before the game, during which Sosa allegedly predicted the three-homer performance.

"Sammy did say I was gonna hit three today, Sammy Sosa told me I was gonna hit three, and I hit three," Crow-Armstrong stated in a postgame interview. "Put that on the record."

The outfielder finished the game 4-for-6 at the plate, driving in six runs. This performance bolsters his National League MVP candidacy, as he now has 36 home runs and 32 stolen bases on the season. If Crow-Armstrong is named MVP, he would be the 10th player in Cubs franchise history to receive the honor, following in the footsteps of Kris Bryant in 2016 and Sammy Sosa in 1998.
