Samie Elishi Responds to Online Criticism of Her Pregnancy

Love Island star Samie Elishi has addressed the influx of opinions on social media following her pregnancy announcement with boyfriend Tyrique Hyde. Elishi, 26, shared her feelings on Instagram, stating that while the positive messages are appreciated, the online world can also be a difficult place.

The couple revealed their pregnancy news with a video montage of their first scan and early moments, set to Jodeci's "Forever My Lady." The announcement came shortly before they appeared together on the red carpet at the Pride Of Britain Awards. Elishi posted a black and white photo of Hyde touching her baby bump, accompanied by a message acknowledging the "ugly and scary" aspects of social media.

"This world can be an ugly scary place at times especially with social media and millions of opinions it's not always right but sadly it's the way it is," Elishi wrote. "However, the good always outweighs the bad, we're soo blessed and happy right now. All our lovely comments and messages haven't gone unnoticed."

Tyrique Hyde also shared his excitement, captioning a post: "Don't make a scene. Can't wait for this next chapter.. Love you @Samie Elishi."

Elishi and Hyde, who have been dating for seven months, previously appeared on Love Island: All Stars. Elishi won the series with Ciaran Davies, but the couple separated three weeks after leaving the villa. Elishi later publicly confirmed her relationship with Hyde in April.

Reports suggest that Elishi and Hyde may have had a connection prior to her appearance on Love Island: All Stars. Insiders indicated that cracks in her relationship with Davies appeared soon after the show concluded, with differing lifestyles and geographical distance contributing to their split. Elishi reportedly went on a date with Hyde shortly after returning from Wales, where she had visited Davies.

During his time in the villa, Hyde had expressed admiration for Elishi, noting her attractiveness and cool demeanor.
